About Faye Downey

Faye holds a degree and Masters in Sports Science from Loughborough University. Since leaving University Faye has written and delivered World Class conditioning programmes for a wide range of sports and athletes representing Great Britain at Olympic, World Championship, European and Commonwealth level. Eight of these athletes went on to represent Great Britain at Athens 2004 and both gold and silver medals were brought back to the UK.

Before moving to the English Institute of Sport in 2003 Faye worked as a conditioning coach for UK Athletics. Designing and co-ordinating the national fitness tests delivered to athletes at the top of their sport, programming for athletes in all events to improve their physical capacities, working in partnership with coaches to enhance their knowledge and delivery, and working with World Class physiotherapists to implement injury prevention strategies.

Faye went on to work at the EIS, continuing write and deliver programmes for GB and England representatives in the following sports:

And the paralympic sports of:

Professional Sports

Such extensive experience on a World Class Stage has also been transmitted to other professional sports with representatives in the European tour in Golf, Premiership Football, Rugby, Cricket and Motor Sports.
